Transplant Surgeon
Dartmouth Hitchcock Medical Center, Lebanon, NH
Dartmouth Hitchcock Medical Center in Lebanon, NH is seeking a transplant surgeon for the solid-organ transplant program.
Duties:
The transplant surgeon is responsible for the coordination, organization, and growth of the kidney transplant program at Dartmouth-Hitchcock.
Supervises all kidney transplant care from pre-transplant evaluations, transplant surgery, and post-surgical care, rendered by other faculty, advanced practice providers, Nephrology fellows, and surgical residents.
Collaborates with the department, surgical section, hospital, and community on initiatives to expand the scope of services provided by the transplant program.
Fosters scholarly activities in a robust teaching environment and engages in research opportunities. Participates in and develops policy in meeting regulatory standards through prospective and retrospective systems analysis of all phases of transplantation and be actively involved in Quality Assurance and Performance Improvement from program improvement, quality measurement, and active quality committee involvement.
Expectation of high standard of quality patient care and value-based practice.
Qualifications:
New Hampshire State Medical License eligibility
Minimum of two years of transplant fellowship
Demonstrated expertise in abdominal transplant surgery, living donor nephrectomies, and multi-abdominal organ recovery
A high level of interpersonal and communication ability to interact with all levels of a multidisciplinary team
Academic rank commensurate with experience
Research support and leadership roles depending on the experience and qualifications of the candidate
